On a train, on a ferry

The train ride from Copenhagen to Berlin was far and away my favorite train ride yet. In addition to having our own first class car, we got to use the lounge before our trip and stock up on coffee, water, and chocolate. Then during the trip, the conductors kept bringing us treats! Free coffee, tea, water, a bag of peanut M&Ms, gummy bears, and ritter chocolate.

Call me naive, but I didn't realize trains went on ferries. But they do!!! Which meant we were on two modes of transport at once. We got to leave the car and go explore.... Which reminded me of being on a cruise. (lots of overpriced things to buy, can't really leave, but watching the ocean is fun.) for thirty minutes it was super fun!

Even though the trek took us seven hours, the time really flew by. We also decided that if we do something similar, we will bring bikes so we can bike on the train on the ferry. How's that for serious transportation?
